Peter Kay is reportedly joining The X Factor team for the first day of auditions.
The comedian is apparently a huge fan of the show and The Sun reports he has offered his services to close friend and judge Gary Barlow as a warm-up act to get the crowd going at the Liverpool auditions.
An insider said: “Peter loves reality TV. He is also good mates with Gary and wanted to have a taste of it. He rang up the producers on the show and asked to be part of the team in Liverpool.
“He’ll do a few gags and he may even throw in a Take That number.”
