As we’ve reported earlier this week, a new Patrice O’Neal album, Mr. P. will be released Feb. 7, 2012. We learned today that all the proceeds will go to his family. You can pre-order it now. You can listen to a sample and check out the full track list here.

O’Neal suffered a stroke on Oct. 19 and died of complications this week. O’Neal was a longtime diabetic. He was 41.

On Oct. 26, some of Patrice O’Neal’s closest friends — including comedians Colin Quinn, Robert Kelly, Rich Vos and Keith Robinson — gathered together on the Opie and Anthony Show on SiriusXM to announce the sad news the veteran comedian had suffered a stroke and was in bad shape. We learned on Tuesday that O’Neal had died the morning before. His booking agent, Matt Frost said the following in a statement:

It is with terrible sadness we must report that Patrice O’Neal has passed away this morning at 7:00am due to the complications of the stroke he suffered on October 19. Many of us have lost a close and loved friend; all of us have lost a true comic genius. His mother, who was also his best friend, was at his side. Patrice is survived by his wife, Vondecarlo; his step daughter Aymilyon, sister Zinder, and his mother Georgia. The family wishes to thank all of the fans and friends who have expressed an outpouring of love and support for Patrice these past weeks. We ask that you please respect the family’s request for privacy at this difficult time.
