Franchesca Ramsey is First Black Woman to Create a Pilot for Comedy Central

There’s so many funny African American comedy writers out there that it’s surprising that it took until 2017 for this to finally happen. Comedy Central released the news yesterday (April 18th) that Franchesca Ramsey landed a pilot gig for an untitled project making her the FIRST EVER black woman to do so. Franchesca is a popular YouTube personality, MTV “Decoded” host, and writer/contributer for Comedy Central’s “The Nightly Show with Larry Willmore”.
